At the near completion of our day's assignment during an area blitz in Western Pangasinan (in the Philippines), I told the team that the remaining youth New Testaments would be good for the last village high school. We finished distributing to the grade school in the village, but were not able to find the high school, so we proceeded to the next village where we found another high school.
 
We waited for the principal (administrator) at her office because she was making rounds on the school premises. When she finally arrived, we introduced ourselves as members of The Gideons International and asked her permission to give New Testaments to the students and teachers of the school. She exclaimed with joy, "You are the answer to our prayers! We've been praying so long that somebody would give us Bibles so that we would have books we can use for the Values Formation Classes!"
 
As we went room by room to distribute the New Testaments, the principal joyfully asked the students, "What is it that we have been praying for so long?" The students would emphatically shout, "Bibles!"
 
We were able to give New Testaments only to the third and fourth (graduating) year classes because we did not have enough Scriptures for every student. We pray to return and place New Testaments in the hands of the other students.
 
Our team was really amazed as to how the Lord works in answering prayers.
