Dunoon Scripture Blitz

Thank you for your faithful encouragements and fellowship in prayer for the Dunoon Scripture Blitz held on 5 and 6 April.
 
OUR GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!
 
We asked for:
 
Good weather - we had two lovely days (the brief passing shower on the Saturday was just to keep us fresh!).
 
Finance to purchase Scriptures - The Branches in Zone 1 sent more than sufficient funds to pay for the Scriptures we needed.
 
People to carry out the placements - We had good times of fellowship with 15 present on the Friday and 14 present on the Saturday.
 
Open Doors/Opportunities - Around 700 Scriptures were distributed.  To give an appreciation (to those who do not live in Scotland) - the scope of the blitz was the Cowal Peninsula and some Gideons travelled in excess of 70 miles (from our base station in Dunoon) in the one day to place 30 or so Bibles in Hotels/Guest Houses.  At some points in their journey these brothers were travelling on roads that were down to one track - now that's commitment to see God's Word placed! 
 
At our debrief on Saturday afternoon, I said that this Scripture placement was not the end - it was just the beginning...... There are now Scriptures where there were none before.  There are now people who have a personal copy of God's Word and that will be taken into homes where there may or may not be a Bible already.
 
We therefore keep on praying, because our God says "...... His Word will not return to Him void....."
