RFO Visit to Benin by John Martin, Dartford and Greenwich branch
Eventful, Fruitful and Encouraging
I am safely home, thank you for your prayers for my safety and the contacts in Benin during my recent Regional Field Officer assignment.
Eventful: Flights diverted by Addis Ababa because of snow in Europe, day late arriving, no luggage; car broke down caused another day lost; got to a church service just as it was starting, it went on for three and a half hours.
Fruitful: Seven Gideon branches visited, much good work being done in often difficult circumstances; new members signed up; Scripture orders placed; opportunities to pray with Gideons and Pastors.
Encouraging: Some good testimonies from soldiers who had been serving abroad on peacekeeping duties; good fellowship with local and national teams in Benin; two good offerings from the churches at which I spoke; Scriptures are being distributed in good numbers in many channels of distribution.
God is at work in West Africa, praise His Name.
John Martin
