"I am serving two years in prison.  I have found a copy of the Bible which says 'Placed by The Gideons'.  On looking through it I came across a verse in Galatians 5:16 which said: “So I say, live by the Spirit , and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

It was my sin that caused me to do what I did.  Knowing that, having lost my wife (of 33 years), my three children and my home, there is the Spirit that is still there to give me a reason to carry on, I have a hope for the future. 

It is thanks to you, The Gideons International, and your generosity in placing Bibles in the prison that I have been able to discover the power of the Holy Spirit.

Please keep up the good work of putting these Bibles where, even if many ignore them, some of us can find them and through them come to life in Jesus."
