Gideons Meet the Fire Chief
GIDEONS MEET THE FIRE CHIEF
Staffordshire Fire Service is in the process of redeveloping their stations into community facilities. With grants of £50m, and a further £50m in the pipeline, Staffordshire Fire Service will be refurbishing and rebuilding all the existing station so that community groups can hold activities and meetings alongside the normal provisions of a fire station.
Chief Officer, Peter Dartford has been instrumental in managing this initiative and sees it as an ideal way of integrating service and community.
At his invitation, and with the help of chaplain Keith Stubbs, Stafford Gideons were able to supply 34 service Bibles for placement in the fire stations across the county.
Seen here with Peter Dartford & Keith Stubbs are Gideons Jack and Mary Turner together with Rob and Angela Brandon at the recent presentation at headquarters.
