International Scripture Blitz to the Philippines

17-30 January 2011

Twenty three teams of Gideons distributed over one million Testaments during the first week in and around Metro Manila and over half a million Testaments during the second week based in Angeles City.

The total for the blitz exceeded 1,630,000.

Each team was made up of between 5 and 10 local Gideons and one overseas member.  The local Gideons had done a lot of planning and obtained the required approvals.  We visited mainly schools and colleges, but also hospitals, police stations and jails.  We were very well received by both staff and students.  Scriptures were enthusiastically accepted by the majority and there were many opportunities for witnessing to individuals and groups.

We enjoyed fellowship with the local Gideons and the local churches and among the overseas Gideons.  It was a real time of blessing for us all and please pray that the seed sown will bring forth much fruit.
