Mexico ISB - October 2010

Thank you so much for your prayers. The Lord blessed abundantly during the ISB to Torreon in Mexico. The team of 10 International Gideons was supplemented by many local members as well as many Gideons from other parts of Mexico. Everyone was kept safe and received a great blessing in serving God and the people of Torreon and surrounding district.

We were able to distribute over 82,000 Scriptures – against a target of 50,000 and saw 220 professions of faith – Praise the Lord! One instance in particular stands out – a visit to a bilingual school – the Thomas Jefferson School. Most schools in Mexico do not allow access onto their premises, but this school invited us not just to present Scriptures to each class, but also to preach in each class. Something we do not do in the British Isles. The outcome was 120 professions of faith – our God does abundantly more than we ask or imagine.

There is much more to report, but thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray that much fruit will ensue as God's word is now in the hands of nearly 8 % of the population of Torreon and district and will probably reach nearly 33% of the people.
