Jesus’ “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:16-20) instructs Christians to spread his message to all people, and Gideons try to be faithful to this command. We provide Bibles and New Testaments for people who do not otherwise have access to the Word of God.

Gideons witness to Christ’s message of salvation in 179 countries, providing the Bible in over 80 languages.

Many countries in which Gideons are working have small Christian communities or are economically disadvantaged. The British Isles is one of eleven self-supporting National Associations which in addition to meeting the cost of their own distribution, contribute to the cost of the work in other countries.
